His body was discovered tied to a tree in Strandfontein, days after he was reported missing. Jack’s disappearance raised alarm when friends and colleagues noticed he had not been seen or heard from. Concern grew as they tried to contact him, and soon, the worst fears were realized—his car was recovered, but he was nowhere to be found. The devastating news came when his lifeless body was discovered, confirming the horrifying fate he had suffered.
Described by those who knew him as hardworking and dedicated, Jack was simply trying to make an honest living. His tragic and brutal death has left a deep wound in the hearts of his family, friends, and the broader community.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the police investigation is ongoing. Friends are calling on anyone with information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the perpetrators to come forward. Any details, no matter how small, could help bring justice for Jack.
If you have any information that could assist the investigation, please contact the South African Police Service’s Crime Stop tip-off line at 08600 10111. Cape Coast News extends its gratitude to the police for responding to our media inquiry. However, in a surprising turn, the SAPS Media Liaison Office confirmed that “the Strandfontein police have no record of the incident.” This raises concerns about possible miscommunication or gaps in the reporting of the case.
Let’s work together to ensure that those responsible for this senseless crime are brought to justice.
Rest in peace, Jack. You will not be forgotten.
