Multi-Agency Raid in Zwelihle Amid Taxi Violence Concerns
In a joint effort to curb violent crime, multiple law enforcement units—including the Overstrand Municipality Law Enforcement team, SAPS, POPS, SAPS Anti-Gang Unit, SAPS Flying Squad, and SAPS Crime Intelligence (CI)—conducted targeted searches at three premises in Zwelihle. The searches, assisted by the K9 Unit, aimed to uncover illegal firearms potentially linked to recent taxi-related shootings. However, no firearms were recovered during the operation.

A concerning 341 fines were issued for expired vehicle license discs. Residents are reminded that they can make an EFT payment and collect their disc within 4 to 5 working days from the Traffic Department.
To assist those unable to visit during the week, the Traffic Department will be open on Saturday morning, 29 March, for license disc collections.
